Ex-Manchester United striker, Wayne Rooney has warned current manager, Ruben Amorim that he has no excuses not to start winning games this season.
United’s 1-1 draw at Fulham on Sunday, means they are yet to win this Premier League campaign.
The Red Devils have spent over £200million on new signings over the summer, bolstering their attack with Benjamin Sesko, Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo.
The arrival of the three forwards raised expectations at Old Trafford, after they finished in 15th place last season.
Rooney has now issued a warning to Amorim on the back of a home defeat to Arsenal and the draw at Craven Cottage.
“There’s no excuses now for the manager this season. He’s got to start getting results and getting them quickly,” Rooney said on his BBC podcast.
“Once you start getting into October or November, if results don’t change drastically that’s when the pressure comes.”
