Norwegian striker Erling Haaland made Premier League history on Tuesday night to become the fastest player ever to score 100 goals in the competition during Manchester City’s dramatic 5–4 win over Fulham at Craven Cottage.
Haaland hit his historic century in just 111 Premier League appearances, firing home in the 17th minute from a Jeremy Doku cross. He shattered the previous record held by Alan Shearer, who needed 124 matches to reach the same milestone.

The goal also ended a three-game scoring drought and marked Haaland’s 15th strike in 14 league appearances this season.
After Haaland opened the floodgates, Phil Foden struck twice as City surged into a commanding 5–1 lead.
But Fulham mounted a furious late rally, scoring three second-half goals and nearly completing a stunning comeback, only to be denied by Josko Gvardiol’s crucial last-second goal-line clearance from Josh King’s effort.

The victory moves second-placed Manchester City within two points of leaders Arsenal, who have a game in hand.
City’s 19th straight win over Fulham extends the longest winning streak by one English club over another in competitive history. However, Pep Guardiola will be concerned by his side’s recurring defensive lapses, having blown leads in successive games.
Haaland, who signed from Borussia Dortmund in 2022, continues to cement his legacy in England. While he still trails Alan Shearer’s all-time Premier League record of 260 goals, the 25-year-old’s blistering pace suggests no milestone is out of reach.
