Brazil coach Carlo Ancelotti has vowed to drop Real Madrid star Vinicius Jr. and Neymar from his squad for the 2026 World Cup if they are not 100% fit and consistent with their game.

In a chat with Esporte Record, the Italian tactician stated that his selection will be based on fitness and consistency from his players.

“He has to be at 100%. There are many very good players, I need to choose players who are at 100%. It’s not just Neymar, it could be Vinicius.

“If Vinicius is at 90%, I’ll call up another player who is at 100%, because it’s a team with a very high level of competition, especially in attack.

“In attack, we have many very good players.”

Neymar hasn’t been included in any of the squads announced by Ancelotti since he took over as manager last summer. The former Barcelona player has missed a total of eight matches.
