Nnadozie wins WSL Save of the Month award for November

Super Falcons goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie has been named the English Women’s Super League (WSL) Save of the Month winner for November.

Nnadozie edged out tough competition from Aston Villa’s Sabrina D’Angelo, Liverpool’s Faye Kirby, and Manchester City’s Ayaka Yamashita to claim the honour for the first time.

The 24-year-old earned the award for her outstanding stop in Brighton’s 1-1 draw with Liverpool, where she produced an acrobatic leap to tip Fuka Nagano’s powerful long-range strike onto the crossbar.

This is Nnadozie’s second consecutive nomination after being shortlisted in October. On that occasion, Arsenal’s Daphne van Domselaar beat her and two others to the monthly award.

Nnadozie’s latest recognition further cements her growing reputation as one of the top goalkeepers in the WSL and a key asset for both Brighton and the Nigerian women’s national team.
