Nigerian investigative journalist Kemi Olunloyo has called out Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo, accusing her of falsifying photos showing her newborn grandson with AI.

On Sunday, Iyabo had announced the birth of her first grandchild, a baby boy, sharing pictures of herself, her daughter Priscilla, and the infant. The news was widely celebrated by fans and colleagues in the entertainment industry.

However, reacting via her Facebook page, Olunloyo accused the actress of using an AI-generated baby picture to mislead the public. She further alleged that Priscilla and her partner, Juma Jux, used IVF, which was implanted into a surrogate, claiming a baby exchange took place months earlier.

“Iyabo Ojo should stop using her AI baby picture to fool the internet. Where’s your AI video? Someone who likes validation. Her fans are very gullible. They think the baby was ‘delivered.’ It was a surrogate baby,” Olunloyo wrote.

In another post, she suggested the child’s birth did not take place in Canada, as speculated, but possibly in Tanzania, though she admitted uncertainty over the exact location.

Olunloyo also linked the celebratory mood surrounding Iyabo’s grandson to the tragic death of singer Mohbad, a statement that sparked outrage online.

“Anyone celebrating Iyabo’s grandson is also celebrating the death of Mohbad. Do NOT celebrate tragedy,” she added.
