Deputy Senate President Barau Calls for Urgent Security Action Against Bandits in Kano

Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Barau I. Jibrin, has urged security agencies to intensify operations and decisively confront bandits terrorising communities in Tsanyawa and Shanono Local Government Areas of Kano State.

The appeal follows a deadly attack on Saturday night in Yankamaye village, Tsanyawa LGA, where bandits killed one woman and abducted three residents.

In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ismail Mudashir, Senator Barau expressed deep concern over the incident and reports of bandits infiltrating Kano from neighbouring states.

He called on security operatives already deployed in the area to redouble their efforts, track down the perpetrators, rescue the kidnapped victims, and neutralize the criminal elements threatening the peace of the affected communities.

Senator Barau emphasized the need for proactive and sustained action to restore security and protect lives and property in the region.
