Arsenal forward Bukayo Saka has confirmed his engagement to long-term partner Tolami Benson after the couple posted photographs of the proposal on social media.
The black-and-white images, taken inside a luxury London hotel, included a close-up view of Benson’s engagement ring.
Saka and Benson have been together since around 2020, maintaining a notably private relationship despite Saka’s high profile for club and country.
Their partnership became public during the 2022 World Cup, when Benson was photographed supporting the England international in Qatar.

Private proposal and low-profile relationship
According to a source quoted by The Sun, Saka organised an elaborate proposal evening at a top London hotel.
The pair have rarely shared details of their relationship publicly, do not follow each other on Instagram, and generally avoid appearing together online.
Benson, who grew up in Hertfordshire, studied public relations and media at Birmingham City University before pursuing a career in PR.
She previously worked for Harrods and currently serves as a senior planning executive at Zenith. Her social media presence largely avoids direct references to Saka, mirroring the winger’s own approach.

Engagement coincides with strong club form
The engagement arrives during a strong period in Saka’s season. The 24-year-old remains one of Mikel Arteta’s most influential players despite managing a recurring hamstring issue.
He captained Arsenal in their recent 3-1 Champions League victory over Bayern Munich, providing an assist for Jurrien Timber. That performance followed Arsenal’s derby win over Tottenham.
Saka signed a four-year contract extension in May 2023, running until 2027. Arteta said this week that both the player and his representatives have signalled their intention to remain at the club long term.

Wedding plans expected to remain private
Plans for the wedding are expected to unfold away from public view as well, in line with how the couple have handled their relationship to date.
A summer ceremony after the 2026 World Cup has been reported as a likely timeframe.
Saka is expected to feature for Arsenal on Sunday when the league leaders face Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, where the winger has scored three times in previous meetings.
