Fulham executed a high-efficiency, fast-start game plan to secure their first away win of the season, dismantling Tottenham Hotspur’s structure inside six chaotic minutes at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Samuel Chukwueze delivered a man-of-the-match performance, driving Fulham’s attacking tempo and exposing Spurs’ defensive frailty.
Fulham capitalise on Spurs’ early meltdown
Fulham opened the scoring after Chukwueze dribbled into the area and dropped a straying pass that found Kenny Tete, who calmly scored his first goal in nearly two years, firing from the edge of the box with the shot taking a deflection.
Tottenham’s operational errors compounded instantly. Goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario mismanaged a routine long ball, ventured outside his box, and gifted Harry Wilson possession.
Wilson responded with a composed 35-yard finish into an empty net to make it 2-0.
Chukwueze almost extended the lead twice, first rattling the post after a poorly defended corner, then rounding Vicario before Micky van de Ven produced a last-ditch recovery to deny him a certain goal.
Tottenham’s metrics in the first half were dire: 16 open-play crosses, zero connections, and no meaningful scoring opportunities.
The home crowd made their dissatisfaction clear as boos cascaded down repeatedly.

Spurs improve but fail to recover
Thomas Frank’s side delivered a marginally improved second-half performance, with Mohammed Kudus pulling one back via a superb volley into the top corner from Lucas Bergvall’s lofted pass.
Despite the uptick in tempo, Spurs managed only two shots on target all evening and lacked the quality to manufacture an equaliser.
Chukwueze drives Fulham’s tactical Ulupside
Chukwueze remained a constant problem for Spurs throughout, stretching the defensive line, winning duels, and acting as Fulham’s primary creative engine.
His vertical threat repeatedly forced Tottenham into reactive defending, justifying his status as the night’s standout performer.
This defeat marks Tottenham’s 10th Premier League home loss of 2025, their worst tally since 2003.
