The committee will be chaired by Joseph Tegbe and supervised by the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Wale Edun. 

Tegbe will be supported by Sanyade Okoli as secretary, alongside Ismaeel Ahmed, Rukaiya El-Rufai, and other experts from finance, law, and civil society.

President Tinubu stated that the reforms are designed to create a simpler, fairer, and more transparent tax system that will boost economic growth, protect citizens and businesses, and increase revenue without imposing undue hardship.

The NTPIC is tasked with coordinating nationwide stakeholder consultations, raising public awareness, improving collaboration among revenue agencies, plugging leakages, and ensuring the reforms deliver sustainable fiscal benefits for the country.
