Lawrence Oyor was born on June 16, 1991, in Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria. He grew up in a Christian household. His parents were ardent gospel ministers. Lawrence Oyor is from a profoundly devout family. His parents, Rev. Gomba Fortune and Rev. Patience Oyor, established God Will Do It Ministries. His twin brother, Godswill Oyor, also serves in ministry. He has two other siblings: Michael and Wisdom Oyor.

Lawrence received his early education in Ibadan and later attended Shalom Christian College. He went on to study law at the University of Ibadan, graduating in 2013, before attending the Nigerian Law School in Yola. In 2016, he enrolled in a brief ministry training course at the Texas Bible Institute in the United States, where he got a Bible diploma after nine months.

Career

Lawrence Oyor, while being trained as a lawyer, followed his call to full-time ministry. He began his gospel adventure while attending university, when he organised a six-week, 12-hour daily prayer campaign that triggered revival. He later launched Catalyst Network International, a global ministry that inspires young people to follow Jesus.

He is also the originator of the Lawrence Oyor Mentorship Platform, which hosts the yearly Battle Axe Retreat, a strong spiritual event that reenergises Christians. He travels over Nigeria and the world with the Davidic Minstrels, which he co-founded with his twin brother, to lead worship and promote revival via song and chanting.
