

Vice President Kashim Shettima and the Minister of Information, Mohammed Idris, are billed to lead a distinguished array of dignitaries to the 2025 International Press Institute (IPI) Nigeria Annual Conference and Annual General Meeting (AGM), underscoring the significance of the organisation’s flagship event.
Shettima will chair the conference, while Minister Idris is expected to deliver a special remark, while Scott Grifen will present a solidarity message from the IPI headquarters in Vienna, Austria.
Among high-profile attendees billed for the event include Director General of the Department of State Services (DSS), Oluwatosin Ajayi, Mass Communication scholar and Registrar of Baze University, Professor Abiodun Adeniyi.
Others include former Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed; former presidential spokesman, Garba Shehu; and former State Chief of Protocol to ex-President Muhammadu Buhari, Ambassador Lawal Kazaure.
Also expected are prominent media leaders, including the Executive Director of IPI Global, Scott Grifen; and former Ogun state governor, Chief Olusegun Osoba.
Presidents of leading media associations such as the President of the Newspaper Proprietors Association of Nigeria (NPAN), Mrs. Maiden Alex-Ibru; the President of the Nigerian Guild of Editors (NGE), Eze Anaba; and the President of the Guild of Corporate Online Publishers (GOCOP), Danlami Nmodu, are also expected to attend.
Others include the President of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Comrade Alhassan Yahya Abdul who will also grace the occasion.
