

Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa state has presented the 2026, appropriation bill of N517, 539,050,910.77 billion only, to the state House of Assembly for consideration and approval.
The appropriation was tagged: “Budget of Strategic Consolidation.”
Sule said he will consolidate on the ongoing infrastructure projects to enhance connectivity and economic competitiveness in the state.
While presenting the budget Wednesday, in Lafia, the governor stated that the capital expenditure takes the large shares of over N304bn. A total capital expenditure of N304,749,720,661.70 representing 58.88%.
Governor Sule added that the recurrent expenditure got N212bn. “The total expenditure budget for fiscal year 2026 is structured into N212,789,330,249.07 only. This represents 41.12% recurrent expenditure,” he said.
Sule added that the ratio of the recurrent to capital spending shows another improvement in his administration’s commitment to investing in capital spending.
He re-affirmed the commitment of his administration to give more priority on security, education, health, roads infrastructures and other social amenities that would boost the state’s socio economic growth.
Responding, the speaker of the assembly, Dr. Danladi Jatau, said the budget will receive diligent and timely attention from the assembly members for quick consideration and passage.
