A fresh controversy erupted online after Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, invited senators to a dinner at the presidential villa, Aso Rock.
This comes amid the rising incidence of banditry in the northern states.
Oluremi Tinubu Invites Senators For Dinner At Aso Rock
The senate president, Godswill Akpabio read the invitation to his fellow senators, announcing that the dinner is scheduled for Friday, 28 November 2025.
Furthermore, he joked that it’s “like a mother inviting her children.
The invitation arrives amid a surge in bandit killings.
As GistReel previously reported, gunmen stormed Christ Apostolic Church in Ekuru, Kwara State, on 18 November 2025, leaving a tragic aftermath.
The gunmen kidnapped 38 congregants, who were freed on Sunday, November 23 2025 after President Bola Tinubu announced their release on the microbiolgging platform, X (formerly Twitter).
