
The League of Anambra Journalists in Abuja (LAJA) has congratulated the Governor of Anambra state, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, CFR, on his emphatic 21 over 21 victory in the just concluded governorship election.
In a statement issued in Abuja, and co-signed by the duo of the Interim President Ambassador Ikenna Okonkwo and Interim Secretary, Princess-Ekwi Ajide, LAJA described Governor Soludo’s landslide victory as a “powerful reaffirmation of the trust and confidence Ndi Anambra have in his visionary leadership and transformative governance style.”
According to the group, the outcome of the election reflects the overwhelming approval of the governor’s ongoing reforms, development strides, and his unwavering commitment to building a liveable and prosperous homeland for all.
“Governor Soludo’s sweeping victory is not just an electoral feat but a clear endorsement of competence, continuity, and purposeful leadership. Ndi Anambra have once again demonstrated unity, political maturity, and a collective resolve to sustain the progress already being made in the state,” the statement read.
LAJA also commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), security agencies, election observers, and all stakeholders for ensuring a peaceful, transparent, and credible process that truly mirrored the will of the electorate.
The group urged Governor Soludo to view the overwhelming mandate as a call to deepen reforms, consolidate gains, and broaden development across all sectors for the benefit of Ndi Anambra.
“LAJA stands firmly with the Governor as partners in progress and will continue to support all efforts aimed at advancing the collective aspirations of the people,” the statement added.
