

Up to 24 schoolgirls abducted from Government Girls Secondary School, Maga, in Kebbi state have been rescued,

Blueprint.ng learnt that the students regained their freedom through a non-kinetic strategy employed by security agencies.
Reacting to the development through his spokesperson, Bayo Onanuga, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu commended the security operatives involved in the successful operation.
He urged them to intensify efforts toward freeing all remaining abducted students still in captivity across the country.
“I am relieved that all the 24 girls have been accounted for. Now, we must put as a matter of urgency more boots on the ground in the vulnerable areas to avert further incidents of kidnapping,” President Tinubu said, as conveyed by Onanuga.
“My government will offer all the assistance needed to achieve this,” the President added.
