Adenike Alajogun Becomes Yeye Aje Olokun Of ATRWOS

Exactly a week after, the His Imperial Majesty, Alayeluwa, Oba Aladetoyinbo Ogunlade, Deji of Akure kingdom, installed chief Adenike Alajogun as Yeyedofin of Akure, the pretty society big wig who also member of ANTP and a professional medical practitioner based in the United kingdom, again rolled out the drums.

The entire city of Akure was in a very joyous mood as Alajogun became the Iya Aje Olokun of the Assembly of Traditional Religion Worshipers, Ondo-State The event, which took place on 22nd Nov 2025, shake the whole city to its foundation as Chief (Mrs) Alajogun left no stone unturned to make the celebration a grand affair.

Oba Aladetoyinbo Ogunlade was the chief host of the event ably represented by Olori Oluwakemi Aladetoyinbo and co-host by His Royal Majesty Oba Pius Omiyejola Akande, the Asin of Oka Odo, Oka Akoko and by all standard the event witnessed the who-is-who in the social circle of means.

The Ojukoto palace of Deji was filled to its brim during the coronation, which was termed by many who attended as palatial splendour events. All his traditional chiefs and members of ATRWOS led by Araba Adewale Oso of the Assembly were on the ground as they all endorsed the installation of the new Iya Aje Olokun Members of ANTP present at the event also threw their weight behind Adenike.

It’s was a double celebration, on the same day as a prominent member of ATRWOS, also crowned as the Yeye Osorun Olokun, Chief (Mrs) Tinuomi Oloye, from Ogbese kingdom.

Speaking at the event, the man in the saddle in ATRWOS Araba Adewale Oso, while crowning the celebrants, stated that, after careful study and deliberation, coupled with the duo humility, integrity and unalloyed support and outstanding commitments in the promotion of Isese, you are today crowned as Yeye Aje Olokun, and Yeye Osorun Olokun of ATRWOS.

The new crowned Yeye Aje Olokun, Adenike Alajogun, therefore, pledged his loyalty to Deji of Akure, the Awos, high chiefs and Isese in general.

The celebrant’s husband, Chief Alajogun, a retired Custom officer , did not just spend big to make sure the event was grand. All his friends also stormed the event.

The reception held at DEJAVU hotel, alagbaka area, Akure, notable personalities witnessed the installation ceremony/rites from nooks and crannies rejoicing with the new Yeye Aje Olokun and Yeye Osorun Olokun respectively.
