LAGOS – Dana Motors Limited has reaffirmed its position as a champion of sustainable mobility and a key driver of Nigeria’s automotive evolution as it showcased an impressive range of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) and Electric Vehicles (EVs) at the 2025 Abuja Motor Fair.
The company drew widespread attention with the unveiling of its latest eco-friendly models, including the locally assembled EV9, EV5, Multi-Purpose Vehicles (MPVs), and compact Mini EVs.
Attendees at the fair were captivated by the vehicles’ state-of-the-art features, technological sophistication, and outstanding green efficiency – qualities that further underline KIA’s continued commitment to environmentally responsible and future-ready transportation solutions for Nigeria.
The high-profile nature of the event was reinforced by the presence of notable dignitaries, including the Minister of Science and Technology, Kingsley Udeh, who represented the Vice President, Kashim Shettima; the Chairman of the National Automotive Design and Development Council (NADDC), Eminence Emma Eneukwu; and the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun.
Their attendance highlighted the Federal Government’s growing support for local production, innovation, and cleaner energy mobility across the automotive sector.
Speaking on the company’s strategic direction, Marketing Manager Omolade Akinyode stated that Dana Motors has continued to deepen its 80 per cent local content strategy while strengthening Nigeria’s automotive value chain.
She noted that through its expanding assembly operations, KIA is driving job creation, boosting technical expertise, and facilitating vital skills transfer essential for EV production in Nigeria.
Akinyode further emphasised the company’s unwavering support for national policies aimed at promoting green transportation, stressing that Dana Motors remains committed to accelerating Nigeria’s transition to affordable, efficient, and eco-friendly mobility.
