Super Eagles striker Victor Boniface has broken his silence after his high-profile move to AC Milan collapsed over the weekend, insisting that he remains confident in his abilities despite the setback.
The 24-year-old was on the verge of sealing a transfer to the Serie A giants, with discussions reportedly advancing to the point of shirt number allocations.
However, concerns over his injury history, including two anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injuries earlier in his career, prompted Milan to withdraw from the deal.
The development triggered widespread reaction, with many Nigerian fans criticizing Boniface for his off-field antics.

In response, the Bayer Leverkusen forward initially lashed out on social media, accusing his critics of unfair judgment.
His Instagram post was picked up by transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, who misinterpreted it as a message directed at both Milan and Leverkusen. Boniface later asked Romano to delete the post, which he did.
Afterward, the striker adopted a calmer tone, using Snapchat to reassure fans that the failed transfer would not derail his career.
He stressed that he trusts his talent and remains determined to bounce back stronger.
With the Milan opportunity now off the table, Boniface and his camp are expected to weigh up fresh options.
Reports suggest that his current coach, Erik ten Hag, does not have him in Bayer Leverkusen’s long-term plans, making a move elsewhere likely as he seeks regular game time.
