Super Eagles forward Taiwo Awoniyi is considering a January move amid mounting uncertainty over his future at Nottingham Forest.
The striker’s role has diminished significantly since returning from injury, fuelling expectations of a mid-season transfer.
Awoniyi has struggled to regain a starting berth under Sean Dyche, a situation compounded by the club’s summer acquisition of Igor Jesus, now the preferred option in attack.

Awoniyi open to new challenge
Reports from Africafoot indicate the 28-year-old is increasingly receptive to leaving Forest after slipping down the pecking order.
He has logged just 133 Premier League minutes across four appearances since his October return against Chelsea.
Before his injury layoff, Forest were considering offering him a contract extension. That plan has been shelved, with the board unconvinced by his form and impact since recovering.
The player is now evaluating opportunities that guarantee consistent playing time, while Forest are actively scouting another forward to complement Igor Jesus.
Werder Bremen lead contenders, EPL options still alive
Werder Bremen remain the most advanced suitor, having tracked Awoniyi since last summer and made enquiries ahead of the winter window.
Two Premier League clubs and several EFL Championship sides have also reportedly registered interest, though the striker is prioritising top-flight football.
Awoniyi is expected to weigh potential offers carefully, but sources suggest a continued stay in England is his preference.
His family is fully settled in the country, making the Premier League his ideal destination unless an exceptional foreign proposal forces a rethink.
