Spurs Manager Frank Labels Arsenal Duo ‘Traitors’

Tottenham Hotspur manager Thomas Frank has labelled Arsenal duo David Raya and Christian Norgaard as ‘traitors’, ahead of Sunday’s North London derby at the Emirates.

Frank master-minded a shock win for newly promoted Brentford in the opening match of the 2020/2021 Premier League campaign, beating Arsenal 2-0.

Raya and Norgaard, currently at Arsenal, were in action for Brentford.

The pair are expected to face their former boss in Sunday’s derby clash.

Asked about facing his former players, Frank laughed about it and said: “Those two are now traitors. They went to the wrong club!”

On how he expect the clash to unfold, he added:”Mikel and I both want to control the game. This derby can’t be controlled. It will be chaos itself. It’s the best show for fans, but we have to create order within that chaos.”

Arsenal will kick off the first of three difficult fixtures by hosting Spurs this weekend.

After the tie with their city rivals, Arsenal will face Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League in midweek before taking on Chelsea next weekend.

Meanwhile, the Premier League leaders will be without Brazilian defender Gabriel, who picked up a thigh injury in his country’s friendly match with Senegal.

However, Arsenal could see a couple of their players return to action after being sidelined with injury.
