Celebrating Betara At 59: Legacy Of Service, Progress


The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Federal Capital Territory Council, has extended warm congratulations to the Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on the Federal Capital Territory, Rt. Hon. Muktar Aliyu Betara, on the occasion of his 59th birthday.

Hon. Betara, who has represented Biu, Kwaya Kusar, Bayo, and Shani Federal Constituency since 2007, continues to distinguish himself through exemplary leadership anchored on humility, accountability, and an unwavering commitment to national development. His academic grounding in Business Administration and Accountancy laid a solid foundation for a career devoted to service, unity, and impact.

In a statement signed by the Chairman of the NUJ FCT Council, Comrade Grace Ike, the union described Hon. Betara as “a visionary legislator whose dedication to the advancement of the Federal Capital Territory and the nation at large remains commendable and inspiring.”

Under his stewardship, the FCT has recorded remarkable improvements in infrastructure, budgetary discipline, and service delivery, translating to a better quality of life for residents of the nation’s capital.
