Osun Police Probe Death Of Lady In Boyfriend’s House


The Osun State Police Command has begun investigations into the mysterious death of a young woman, identified as Bidemi Omole, who reportedly passed away at the residence of her boyfriend, simply named Yinka, in Esa-Oke, Osun State.

The incident, which occurred on Friday evening, threw the entire community into confusion and panic. Residents expressed shock over the sudden death, which happened shortly after the deceased arrived at her partner’s house.

According to eyewitnesses, Omole allegedly developed sudden health complications upon entering Yinka’s residence. She was said to have started vomiting and lost consciousness before efforts to rush her to the hospital proved futile, as she died on the way.

A resident in the Oke Esa area, who preferred not to be named, recounted the tense moments surrounding the tragedy.

“We heard a cry for help and rushed towards Yinka’s house. By the time I got there, the place was already
crowded. Security personnel were also present, but the situation had escalated,” the source explained.
“She usually attends vigil every Friday night. The police have since arrested her boyfriend, and he is already in their custody.”

Confirming the incident, the Public Relations Officer of the Osun State Police Command, Abiodun Ojelabi, said the case was officially reported on Saturday. He disclosed that the deceased’s boyfriend had been apprehended and assured that the police would conduct a thorough probe.

“The death happened on Friday. The deceased, identified as Bidemi Omole, went to her boyfriend’s
house in Esa-Oke. According to him, she fell ill shortly after arriving and began vomiting. Unfortunately, she died on the way to the hospital,” Ojelabi stated.

“The suspect is already in our custody. An autopsy will be conducted to determine the actual cause of death.”

The incident has sparked conversations across Esa-Oke, with residents calling for transparency and justice as investigations continue.
