Kano donates vehicles, motorcycles to JTF to strengthen security



Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State has bolstered security operations across the state with the provision of 10 vehicles and 50 motorcycles to the Joint Task Force (JTF).

The move is said to be aimed at improving mobility, rapid response, and overall operational efficiency, especially in frontline local government areas, including Kiru, Tsanyawa, Kunchi, Ghari, Shanono, Tudun Wada, and Doguwa.

The handover ceremony took place at the Government House, Kano, according to a statement by Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, spokesperson to the governor.

Represented by Sani Muhammad, Director-General of Special Services, Umar Baba Zubairu, Director of Special Services, presented the materials to A.M. Tukur, the JTF commander, who was represented by his Chief of Staff.

The event was attended by representatives of key security agencies, including the Commissioner of Police, the Director of the Department of State Services (DSS), the Commander of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), and chairmen from Kiru, Tsanyawa, and Gwarzo LGAs.

Governor Yusuf reiterated his administration’s unwavering commitment to strengthening security and supporting collaborative efforts aimed at protecting lives and property across Kano State.
