The Federal High Court in Abuja has taken a break in the judgment being delivered in the trial of leader of the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu.
The court will, however, reconvene to deliver its sentence at 4:50 pm today (Thursday).
Justice James Omotosho said this after he convicted Kanu on the seven count charge filed by the Nigerian government.
Meanwhile the Nigerian government has demanded the imposition of the death sentence on Kanu.
Counsel to the Federal Government, Adegboyega Awomolo, SAN, told the court that the sections of the law under which Kanu was charged and convicted carried death sentence without any option.
