CAF Awards: Chiamaka Nnadozie wins women’s goalkeeper of the year for third straight year
Super Falcons goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie has been named CAF Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year 2025, winning the award for the third consecutive year.
The 24-year-old Brighton & Hove Albion shot-stopper received the accolade on Wednesday at the 2025 CAF Awards in Rabat, Morocco, adding to her previous wins in 2023 and 2024 to complete a remarkable three-year sweep.

Nnadozie played every match as the Super Falcons clinched their record 10th Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) title earlier in the year. She kept four clean sheets and won the tournament’s Best Goalkeeper award.
She edged Morocco’s Khadija Er-Rmichi and South Africa’s Andile Dlamini to claim the 2025 honour, reaffirming her dominance as Africa’s top goalkeeper.
Nnadozie also enjoyed a standout year at the club level. With Paris FC, she lifted the Coupe de France Féminine before securing a move to Brighton & Hove Albion in the Women’s Super League.

She made an instant impact in England, earning a Player of the Match debut and multiple nominations, including WSL Save of the Month and PFA Fans’ Player of the Month.
After receiving her award, Nnadozie thanked CAF, the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), her teammates, and her coaches at both club and national team levels for their support.
