Nigeria’s Chiamaka Nnadozie has been crowned the 2025 CAF Goalkeeper of the Year (Women), marking her third straight win and further solidifying her position as Africa’s undisputed No. 1 shot stopper.

Naija News reports that the 24-year-old received the honour on Wednesday at the 2025 CAF Awards ceremony held in Rabat, Morocco.

Nnadozie emerged winner ahead of Morocco’s Khadija Er-Rmichi and South Africa’s Andile Dlamini, reaffirming her dominance in African women’s football.

Her consistent performances throughout the year for both club and country earned her widespread acclaim and cemented her as a leading figure in the sport.

Nnadozie’s year has been marked by outstanding achievements.

With Paris FC, she played a pivotal role in securing the Coupe de France Féminine, delivering standout saves and maintaining a commanding presence between the sticks.

For the Super Falcons, she was instrumental in Nigeria’s run to a record 10th WAFCON title, keeping four clean sheets and being named Best Goalkeeper of the Tournament.

Following her impressive WAFCON campaign, Nnadozie signed with Brighton & Hove Albion in the Women’s Super League, where she made an immediate impact.

She earned a Player of the Match award on her debut and received several nominations, including WSL Save of the Month and PFA Fans’ Player of the Month, showcasing her rapid adaptation to the English league.
