Ned Nwoko denies contacting Regina Daniels, says focus should be on her rehabilitation

Senator Ned Nwoko has denied claims that he is communicating with his estranged wife, Regina Daniels, or seeking her return to his household.

In a statement issued by his communication team and posted on X (Twitter), the lawmaker said his only concern is that she receives therapy and rehabilitation.

According to the statement, Regina has allegedly been battling drug-related challenges, with the senator insisting that her recent allegations against him are influenced by her condition.

The communication team released what they described as a verifiable WhatsApp message reportedly sent by Ned to Regina on 17 October, expressing frustration over her lifestyle and urging her to return to therapy.

In the message, the senator complained about late-night gatherings involving Regina and her friends and warned that he would no longer fund her lifestyle if she refused rehabilitation.

The communication team said Regina allegedly became destructive soon after receiving the message, claiming she damaged cars and other property.

The statement further alleged that Regina’s behaviour deteriorated in recent months, prompting the senator to encourage her to maintain basic routines and seek professional help.

It also referenced incidents involving friends, including reality star Phyna, whom the team said he tolerated only to manage Regina’s condition.

The communication team additionally accused Regina of engaging in days-long partying and confrontations at a hotel, which they claim marked a turning point in her behavioural decline.

They also alleged that she filmed and posted a video of the senator in a private setting, describing it as evidence of irrational conduct.

The team concluded by saying Ned’s priority is ensuring Regina receives proper care for the sake of their two children, urging those close to her to support her entry into a reputable rehabilitation programme.
