The new offering is positioned as a transformative shift for households, businesses and entertainment-driven users who rely on fast and uninterrupted internet access. MTN says the Unlimited Broadband plans will provide the speed and reliability required for modern digital lifestyles, from streaming and gaming to virtual work and content creation.

At the core of the launch are two speed-based broadband plans: 50Mbps and 100Mbps. These tiers aim to offer customers predictable performance suited for high-definition streaming, competitive gaming, cloud-based work tools and smart home environments. The company says the plans are designed to remove the anxiety associated with running out of data or throttled speeds during critical tasks.

To attract new customers, MTN is offering a welcome bonus of unlimited data for the first 30 days for users who purchase a 5G router. The company has also rolled out promotional bundles and device tie-ins to make the transition to 5G-powered broadband more accessible.

Egerton Idehen, MTN Nigeria’s Chief Broadband Officer, said the launch underscores MTN’s commitment to improving digital access and supporting Nigeria’s expanding internet-driven economy.

“We’re building a broadband experience for everyday life. For content creators, remote workers, gamers, students and households. Our focus is on speed, reliability, low latency and affordability. Broadband is designed to deliver seamless connectivity that empowers Nigerians to thrive in the digital economy,” he said.

The telecom giant says the new plans directly address issues that have plagued Nigerian users for years. These include lagging connections during virtual meetings, disruptions during online classes and buffering while streaming. MTN says its 5G-powered broadband service will offer ultra-low latency and consistent speeds to support data-intensive activities that have become part of daily life.

The offering is also tailored to meet Nigeria’s shift toward remote and hybrid work environments, where stable and fast internet access is now essential. MTN says the service will support heavy workloads such as uploading large files, cloud-based collaboration and real-time communication.

Beyond performance, MTN is emphasising the affordability and flexibility of its new unlimited plans. The company says it has priced the packages to meet the needs of both individual users and multi-device households, with options available across economic segments.
