She mentioned that although she had co-directed and filmed a music video for the song months earlier, she was ultimately unhappy with the outcome.
The singer revealed that she sent the track to Wizkid for a feature, noting that the “Ojuelegba” hitmaker eagerly recorded his verse within just three days.
“We had shot the video like four months before. I co-directed and creative directed and I did not like it. I liked it but I did not like it and I said let us send it to Wizkid. And we sent it to Wizkid and he recorded the song in like three days,” she said.
“He was like ‘I love the song. I am going to do it of course, I got you’.”
The “Bloody Samaritan” singer stated that Wizkid was the only artist capable of perfectly matching the song’s vibe.
She explained that the song’s sound and chorus pattern naturally resonated with his style.
“Nobody else would have been right on that song asides from Wizkid. Even just his sonics and the sound, the chorus pattern feels very Wizkid. It feels very like sexy Afrobeats and everybody knows that Wizkid is the king of sexy Afrobeats,” she declared.
