Blueprint loses AGM Yahaya: Idris, MD, others pay tribute

The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, has paid a condolence visit to the family of the late Head of Printing and Logistics of Blueprint.ng Newspapers, Yahaya Adamu.

The minister described Yahaya  as a hardworking and honest staff whose death is a painful loss.

Idris, who postponed an official engagement to visit the family in Kaduna, said the deceased was widely respected for his character and dedication to duty.

He prayed, “May Almighty Allah grant the deceased eternal rest in Jannah and forgive him his shortcomings.”

Earlier, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Blueprint.ng  Group of Newspapers, Mallam Salisu Umar, also visited the family and described the late Yahaya as “more than a staff,” noting that his passing had created a deep void in the organisation.

“Yahaya was hard working and he didn’t joke with office work. He was always active. I lost a pillar,” he said even as he prayed for Allah’s mercy upon him.

The late Yahaya died early Sunday morning in Kaduna after a brief illness.

A board member of Blueprint.ng Newspapers, Alhaji Ibrahim Sheme, was also among those who visited the family. The chief press secretary to the Kaduna state governor, Mr Ibrahim Musa, who was once an editorial staff of the Blueprint.ng Newspapers also visited the family.

A statement signed by Nuhu Sani of the Administration and HR Department, Blueprint.ng Newspapers, said the burial was conducted at Kabala Costain according to Islamic rites.

The statement described the passing of Yahaya as a heavy blow to the organisation.
