CAC Holds Monthly Workout To Boost Staff Health, Productivity

Mr Hussaini Magaji, the Registrar-General of the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), says the commission’s monthly workout initiative is designed to enhance staff health, morale and overall productivity.

Magaji said this in Abuja during the commission’s routine fitness exercise, where he joined staff in the early-morning workout session.

He said the programme was introduced to help workers stay fit, energised and better equipped to deliver efficient services to Nigerians.

He said “we thank you for always honouring our invitation and being part of this routine exercise. We know how important it is to feed and strengthen the body.”

According to him, regular exercise has significantly improved the physical and mental well-being of workers, with visible impact on their performance.

He added that “before now, our challenges were limiting our output. But today, we are seeing improvements. Staff are healthier, active and productive. The morale across the commission is higher.”

Magaji said that increased physical activity had contributed to better service delivery, stressing that CAC would continue to promote wellness programmes that built a vibrant workforce.

The registrar-general urged other agencies to emulate the commission and advised Nigerians to imbibe the culture of regular exercise for physical and mental wellness.

Mrs Nkechi Osakwe, who spoke on behalf of the CAC Sports Committee, said the exercise was introduced to support staff health and enhance workplace efficiency.

“A healthy body is a happy body, and a happy body can deliver the mandate of the commission. A sick body cannot come to work,” she said.

Osakwe said that the registrar-general approved the monthly workout “to give our soul, spirit and body the strength needed for the job.”

She added that the initiative had encouraged staff to pay more attention to fitness and general well-being.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the monthly workout session is part of ongoing efforts by CAC to build a healthy, motivated and productive workforce. (NAN)(www.nannews.ng)
