Ezra Olubi saga: Ozzy Etomi deactivates X account after leaked chats spark backlash

The online buzz between US-based entrepreneur Max ‘Makispoke‘
Obae and Ezra Olubi has taken a new twist, following the release of
chats allegedly showing Olubi’s friend, Ozzy Etomi, admitting to infidelity.

Etomi’s situation is unfolding amid controversies
surrounding her close associate, Olubi.

The controversy began when
Obae hosted an X Space titled ‘My Piece’, accusing Olubi of misogyny and
recounting their troubled past.

Her claims quickly sparked reactions on X, prompting users
to unearth old, disturbing tweets from Olubi’s deactivated account.

The backlash intensified as the resurfaced posts, containing
sexually explicit and alarming statements, fueled accusations of misogyny,
pedophilia, bestiality, and predatory behaviour.

Amid the uproar, friends of Olubi, including Kiki Mordi and
Etomi, were called out by X users for allegedly distancing themselves from his
“atrocities” despite their public feminist stance.

As the debate escalated, Obae released a series of purported
chats between her and Etomi, dated May 2020, further fuelling the controversy
on X.

In the leaked messages, Etomi allegedly admitted she did not
love her ex-husband and married him for “stability”, while also confessing to
cheating on him with a “married woman.”

She reportedly revealed she entered the marriage intending
to leave within four to five years and have a child before walking away.

The DMs also showed Etomi criticising figures like Toke
Makinwa as a “runs babe”, a remark that sharply contradicts her publicly stated
feminist stance against slut-shaming.

Since the controversy escalated, Etomi has deactivated her X
account.
