The Head of Printing and Logistics at Blueprint Newspapers, Yahaya Adamu, has died in Kaduna after a brief illness, plunging the organisation into mourning.
He passed away early Saturday morning.
In a statement signed by Nuhu Sani of the Administration and HR Department, the company described his death as a painful loss.
He said the burial was held at Kabala Costain District of Kaduna in line with Islamic rites.
His first son, Adamu Yahya, told Blueprint.ng that his late father had complained of chest pains for about two weeks before his condition worsened.
He said the family was devastated by the sudden loss.
The deceased is survived by 10 children and one wife.
At the janaiza prayer held at the Kabala cemetery, hundreds of mourners, including colleagues, friends and community members, gathered to pay their last respects.
Colleagues expressed shock at the news, describing him as a committed staff member whose humility and dedication earned him respect across the organisation.
Blueprint.ng Head of business department, Aminu Ado, described the passing of Yahaya Adamu as a profound and heartbreaking loss.
He said he had driven the deceased from Abuja to Kaduna on Friday due to health concerns, unaware that it would be their final journey together.
Ado prayed for Allah to grant him Jannatul Firdaus and to comfort his family.
Prayers were offered for Allah to forgive his shortcomings and grant him eternal rest.
