The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has officially confirmed that Wilfred Ndidi is eligible to feature for Nigeria’s Super Eagles in Sunday’s high-stakes World Cup playoff match against DR Congo.

According to the clarification, yellow card accumulations from the group-stage qualifiers do not carry over into the playoff round.

Only players with an existing or confirmed suspension are ruled out of the fixture.

This confirmation comes as a major boost for Nigeria, as Ndidi remains one of the team’s most influential midfielders ahead of the decisive encounter.

During the semi-final playoff clash against Gabon, Ndidi and Superstar Victor Osimhen were booked for various on-field offences.
