Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport (NAIA), Abuja, was temporarily closed on Wednesday after a Gulfstream 400 private jet, registration 5N-PZE, experienced an incident on the runway.
The aircraft, carrying 14 passengers and four crew members, had departed from Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu, and landed at 2:16 p.m.
A source familiar with the incident confirmed the event but said the cause remains under investigation.
“Appropriate authorities have been notified,” the source added.FAAN’s Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection, Henry Agbebire, acknowledged the incident and promised to provide further details.
