For instance, e-commerce giant Jumia kicked off its “Do Pass Yourself” campaign on October 31, running until December 1.

Jumia’s CEO, Temidayo Ojo, said the event is designed to celebrate shoppers while strengthening trust in online retail. “Black Friday is more than a sale, it is a celebration of the African consumer,” Ojo said. “We’re combining quality, affordability, and a secure shopping experience.”
Popular items include smartphones from Samsung, Xiaomi, and Tecno, along with discounted Skyrun appliances and Nivea beauty products.
