Arguably and currently the hottest striker globally, Victor Osimhen, was Absent when the Nigeria’s Super Eagles trained on Monday evening in Rabat, Morocco, few days to the 2025 World Cup playoffs.

Osimhen is among three remaining players expected to arrive camp later in the night, day after he featured for his club Galatasaray in their Turkish Super Lig clash.

Goalkeeper Maduka Okoye is another prominent member of the current Super Eagles squad who is also expected to join the camp.

During the first training session, Ademola Lookman and 16 others including Calvin Bassey, Alex Iwobi, Samuel Chukwueze, Tolu Arokodare, Olakunle Olusegun, Wilfred Ndidi, Moses Simon, William Troost-Ekong, Benjamin Frederick, Chidozie Awaziem, Amas Obasogie, Stanley Nwabali
Semi Ajayi, Akor Adams and Chidera Ejuke took part.

Two others – Bright Osayi-Samuel and Raphael Onyedika arrived later on.
