‘Revenge Mission’ –Ruiz Jr Calls For Joshua’s Trilogy

Former heavyweight champion Andy Ruiz Jr. has expressed his readiness to face Anthony Joshua for the third time in the ring.

Ruiz has a rich history, having become the first person to unexpectedly defeat Joshua during a memorable night at Madison Square Garden six years ago.

However, an out-of-shape Ruiz was then beaten by AJ later that year, but the Mexican in a chat with Covers.com, believes a third installment would be bigger than ever.

“I think that would be like the first fight that I would even want to join because, you know, there’s bad blood that we left behind – especially me, losing against him in Saudi Arabia, I want my revenge.

“I want another chance against him. We could do the trilogy. That’s something that me and Eddie Hearn talked about as well.”

Ruiz recently reunited with his old trainer Manny Robles and he said,“[Robles and I] made history together against Anthony Joshua, and we’re going to do it again. I should be leaving in two weeks to Los Angeles to train with him in his facility. I’m excited to get out of my comfort zone, to go to his space and his gym, his rules, to stay dedicated.”
