Dr. Kingsley Tochukwu Udeh, SAN, has officially assumed duties as Nigeria’s Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology, vowing to propel the nation’s scientific and technological progress to new heights.
Appointed by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Udeh’s leadership signals a strategic shift toward youth-led innovation, indigenous capacity development, and accelerated research and technology adoption.
In his inaugural address, the minister pledged full alignment with the Renewed Hope Agenda and stressed the need for robust partnerships with government, academia, and the private sector to forge a unified national innovation strategy.
“Innovation will be the cornerstone of my administration,” Udeh declared. “My vision is to position Nigeria as a global leader in science, technology, and innovation.”
The Permanent Secretary, represented at the brief ceremony, extended a warm welcome and assured the minister of the ministry’s full support in realizing his transformative agenda.
As Udeh settles in, stakeholders anticipate groundbreaking policies and initiatives that will redefine Nigeria’s role in the global innovation ecosystem.
