President of the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, Ibrahim Gusau, and Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule will attend the opening fixture of the 2025/26 Nigeria National League, NNL, season.
FC Basira will take on Mighty Jets of Jos in the opening game of the new campaign.
The Conference C encounter will hold at Lafia City Stadium on Saturday.

Governor Sule will perform the ceremonial kick-off, accompanied by Gusau, NFF General Secretary Dr.Sanusi Mohammed,NNL Chairman, George Aluo, and other Board Members.
Sule’s entourage will include Deputy Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Agbadu Akabe, Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development Hon.Kwanta Yakubu Bohar, Former Chairman of Nasarawa United FC who is now the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Barr. Isaac Danladi, Permanent Secretary of the State Ministry of Youth and Sports Development, Dr. Ibrahim Adamu Alhassan, and Nasarawa State Football Association’s Chairman, Mr.Salisu Usman Galadima.
The 8,000 capacity Lafia City Stadium is expected to be buzzing with excitement as fans gather to watch the match and cheer on their teams.
