The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has begun distributing election materials and deploying ad-hoc staff across all 21 local government areas of Anambra State ahead of Saturday’s governorship election scheduled for November 8, 2025.

According to field reports gathered by Blueprint.ng correspondent from the Centre for Journalism Innovation and Development (CJID), activities intensified on Friday November 7, 2025, officials finalised logistics for the smooth conduct of the poll.

Across various LGAs, INEC officers supervised the movement of both sensitive and non-sensitive materials to Registration Area Centres (RACs) where ad-hoc staff are lodged for deployment.

INEC has reiterated its commitment to ensuring a credible, transparent, and peaceful election. Despite minor logistical issues, most LGAs had completed or were near completion of material distribution by Friday night.
