In a statement released on Friday through its official website, the continental body said the annual celebration of African football excellence will begin at 7 p.m. local time, which coincides with 7 p.m. in Nigeria.

“The CAF Awards 2025 will take place in Rabat, Morocco, on Wednesday, 19 November 2025, starting from 19:00 local time,” the statement read.

The Moroccan capital will once again welcome the continent’s biggest football stars, coaches, and administrators in what promises to be a glamorous evening of recognition and pride. Rabat has become a familiar stage for CAF events in recent years, earning a reputation for its rich culture and world-class hosting capacity.

This year’s edition is expected to have a strong Nigerian presence, with Super Eagles and Super Falcons players nominated across several top categories.

Victor Osimhen, who was crowned the 2023 African Player of the Year, will be looking to retain his title after another impressive season in Europe. The Galatasaray striker remains one of the favourites for the men’s top prize.

Super Eagles goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali, who stood out at the 2024 AFCON with his heroics between the posts, has been nominated for the Goalkeeper of the Year award. Young defender Daniel Bameyi also earned a spot in the Young Player of the Year category following his rapid rise on the international scene.

In the women’s categories, Rasheedat Ajibade of Atletico Madrid and forward Esther Okoronkwo are both in contention for the African Women’s Player of the Year. Chiamaka Nnadozie, who continues to shine for Paris FC and the Super Falcons, is among the finalists for Goalkeeper of the Year.

Other stars competing for honours include Egypt’s Mohamed Salah, Morocco’s Achraf Hakimi and Yassine Bonou, as well as Senegal’s Pape Matar Sarr.

The 2025 CAF Awards will also feature categories for Coach of the Year, Interclub Player of the Year, Club of the Year, and National Team of the Year, among others.
