Inter Milan star Denzel Dumfries has denied reports circulating in the media that the duo of Lautaro Martinez and Hakan Calhanoglu are not on good terms.

The clash between the pair began during the Club World Cup, where Inter were eliminated by Fluminense in the round of 16.

However, in a chat with DAZN today, the Dutch international stated that Lautaro and Calhanoglu have fixed their differences.

“I was calm. I know they’re both winners and competitive. They’ve cleared things up with each other and the team.

“We’re staying united, like a family. At Inter, not winning titles isn’t enough; we’re working to raise the bar.”

Dumfries also disclosed that he was never tempted to leave Inter Milan this summer.

The Holland fullback was linked with LaLiga and the Premier League after it emerged his contract carried an active short-term buyout clause of just €25m.

“It was always clear to me: I wanted to stay at Inter, and I know the club felt the same way. Many have talked about a transfer, but I never had any doubts. I’m very happy here and I want to stay in Milan.”
