BIRNIN KEBBI – Nigeria’s Vice President Kashim Shettima on Friday joined family, friends and sympathisers at the final burial rites of late Emir of Zuru, Muhammadu Sani Sami Gomo II, who died in a London hospital after a brief illness.
The Nigeria’s second citizen, shortly after the burial of the late Zuru monarch, conveyed the condolence message of mister President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to the Kebbi State Governor Nasir Idris.
The Vice President described the death of the Emir as a national loss just as he described him as a true nationalist who dedicated his life to the service of humanity.
“I hereby convey the condolence message of Mr President who could have been here with us except for official engagements. But I want to tell you that late Emir of Zuru will be remembered for his humility and great service to the nation,” Shettima said.
The Vice President also prayed to Allah to grant the late Emir janna while at the same time granting the immediate family fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
Emir of Kano Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, emir of Anka, emir of Yauri land former governor of Kebbi state ,Said u Nasamu Dakin Gari among other dignitaries attended the final burial of late Zuru monarch.
Dr Nasir Idris, the host thanked the vice president for attending the burial of late emir of Zuru.
