A political pressure group , SOKEZA APC Youth Movement Northwest, has reaffirmed commitment to the renewed hope agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The SOKEZA APC Youth Summit, held in Birnin Kebbi on Thursday, with the theme: ‘Harnessing Youth Power for Unity, Development, and Renewed Hope,’ was convened by young progressive leaders, political stakeholders, and development advocates to deepen conversations on youth inclusion, policy participation, and sustainable development in Northern Nigeria.
Speaking, the convener, Dr. Abu Shattima, recalled the pioneering role of the SOKEZA APC Youth Movement, noting that it was the first APC support group in the entire Northwest to publicly endorse the candidacy of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2023 elections, a visionary step that helped galvanize early youth mobilisation across the region.
“We took that bold step in conviction, not convenience because we believed in the leadership capacity, courage, and reform-driven vision of President Tinubu. Today, that belief stands justified as his Renewed Hope Agenda begins to yield visible impact across key sectors.”
He commended the APC National Secretariat and the Kebbi state government for their strategic partnership and continued encouragement of youth-led initiatives, reaffirming the movement’s readiness to support the ongoing reforms and serve as a bridge between governance and grassroots youth constituencies.
Speaking further, Shattima said that the Summit featured three thematic panels focusing from protest to policy: youth as architects of governance, skills to success, unlocking digital pathways for economic development and youth & community roles in peace and security in Northern Nigeria.
The movement pledged to expand its reach across Northern Nigeria, promote youth empowerment, and sustain constructive engagement that would strengthen party unity and national cohesion.
