The Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) has confirmed that the Warri-Itakpe train service will resume on Wednesday, October 29, following a brief suspension for essential maintenance.
In a statement issued Saturday by NRC spokesperson Callistus Unyimadu, the corporation revealed that online ticket booking will commence at 12 PM on Monday, October 27, via https://nrc-fane.ng.
Passengers are advised to book early through the portal or at designated stations.The suspension allowed for critical repairs and system checks on the track and rolling stock to ensure passenger safety, comfort, and service reliability.
The resumed service will feature seven coaches, six standard class and one business class, with a timetable, including temporary speed restrictions, to be published Monday.
NRC Managing Director Kayode Opeifa apologized for the inconvenience caused by the suspension, expressing gratitude for passengers’ patience and reaffirming the corporation’s dedication to safe and efficient rail services.
