A governorship aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun state, Dideolu Falobi, has promised that his tenure will end the era of reckless borrowing if elected governor of the state.
He stated that the plan is to manage intelligently, partnering strategically and spending responsibly.
Falobi who spoke at a media parley in Osogbo, the state capital, Thursday, lamented that many people still face poverty, insecurity, and underemployment
In summary, we will not fund Osun’s development by borrowing recklessly but by managing intelligently, partnering strategically, and spending responsibly, despite how Osun is richly endowed with intelligent people, fertile land, natural resources, and a proud heritage.
He stated that he was running to rebuild trust, restore confidence, and renew hope, to build an Osun that works for everyone, and not just a privileged few.
“We will rebuild our roads, schools, hospitals, and governance systems with transparency, quality control, and the engagement of indigenous contractors and professionals. Osun’s infrastructure must reflect the dignity of her people.
“We will move from consumption to production — establishing agro-industrial clusters in all zones of the state, promoting tourism, and harnessing solid minerals responsibly. Our goal is to make Osun a net contributor to Nigeria’s GDP and a magnet for investment and innovation.
“We will restore public trust by making governance open, inclusive, and accountable. Security, justice, and the rule of law will be non-negotiable, and communities will have a voice in their own development.”
