Liverpool ended their four-game winless streak in emphatic style on Wednesday as Arne Slot’s team put five goals past Eintracht Frankfurt in Germany.
It had seemed as if their miserable run might continue when the hosts took the lead in the 26th minute, but goals from Hugo Ekitike, Virgil van Dijk, Ibrahima Konaté, Cody Gakpo and Dominik Szoboszlai saw Liverpool roar back in style.
Slot will have questions to answer, though, after he omitted Mohamed Salah from his starting XI and took record signing Alexander Isak off at the break.
