The Jigawa state governor, Malam Umar Namadi, has commissioned Sangaya school project in Suletankarkar local government area to provide essential facilities that can support the education sector.
Governor Namadi stated the importance of education in the state’s development and reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to improve the sector.
He said the government’s efforts have resulted in significant investments in education infrastructure, benefiting students across the state.
He added that commissioning of the school marks a milestone in the state’s education development agenda, underscoring the government’s dedication to providing quality education
The executive secretary of the Sangaya School, Alhaji Abubakar Maje, said the school has been equipped with a skills acquisition center, students’ hostel, and recitation hall, as part of the state government’s efforts to improve education infrastructure.
The projects commissioned include the construction of a students’ hostel and recitation hall at a cost of ₦110,000,000, procurement of 400 students’ beds worth ₦54,395,000, and supply of school uniforms and footwear valued at ₦50,000,000.
Maje said the project worth ₦271,979,000 Million, includes the procurement of beds, mattresses, mosquito nets, and other materials in the school.
The executive secretary also expressed gratitude to the state government for the facilities, highlighting the provision of good water, mattresses and mosquito nets.
