“I Am Too Big To Dump The ADC In Secret” – Suswam

Former Governor of Benue State, Gabriel Suswam, has dismissed reports that he has dumped the African Democratic Congress (ADC) for the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Suswam, who spoke during a visit to the residence of Prof. Saasongo Nongu in Makurdi, added that he is too big a politician to secretly dump any party and join another one.

The former Governor argued that secretly leaving the ADC would be the height of disgrace to his personality and a betrayal of his supporters.

“I am too big to dump the ADC in secret. Leaving the party quietly would be the height of disgrace to my personality and a betrayal to my loyalists,” Suswam declared.

He also reaffirmed his commitment to the ADC, saying he remains a proud and dedicated member focused on strengthening the party and expanding its influence across Benue State and beyond.

Naija News recalls that recently, the former Governor had also denied rumours of defecting to the APC.

Suswam, in a statement released by his media aide, Bede Bartholomew, dismissed the speculation as “baseless, aimless, and a lie from the deepest pit of hell.”

Naija News reports that the rumours followed an invitation by Governor Hyacinth Alia, who had asked key stakeholders in the state to a dinner at the Government House, Makurdi. Online reports suggested the event would serve as a platform to officially welcome Suswam into the APC.

But Bartholomew said the dinner had no political undertone, stressing that his principal was merely honouring a courtesy invitation.
